hehehe I've always had a soft spot for David Boreanaz and detective shows so this pairing just made my day also great to see him laugh so much - as Angel he could rarely do that
Yeah, it's like the moved away from the science and particularly Bones being sort of asexual, they want to compete with the shows like CSI or Grey's Anatomy that layer on the sex - they're all about "relationships" now (and yet Bones and her partner, the pairing we want, hasn't happened).
if you read the books, you'll find that that "assexuality" of bones was only added for the show, probably to keep it from being said to be "just another one of those shows". Personally, I like that they develop their characters and that that pairing is lingering like this it has its own charm and I think they're very far from CSI in particular (dunno about grey's anatomy, never seen that) because they rely on their characters more than any csi ever did.
