PSD File going with the "Setting a Mood" Video Tutorial - Part 1 ~ Part 2
File is 26MB big, so please be patient
Please note that this is not stock - it is a psd file that you can take apart to see how it works and how I do things (without me blabbing on incessantly & on your own time). It is not to be used in part or as a whole in your digital creations. Please respect that or this will be the last psd file I share. On a sidenote, I shrunk it a bit so it won't be all that big (even though the original wasn't that much bigger to begin with).
I was thinking about doing something like this myself, to share my M.O. with the rest of DeviantArt. I'll definitely take a look. Thanks for sharing the love.

Well, I learned right from the start that you can organize your layers into separate folders. That will help me a lot. Also found how you did the stars pretty nifty. I'm not too familiar with color dodge...yet. Don't fully understand how curves work, but I'll be experimenting with them.
One of my biggest problems, in my opinion, was making my objects seem like they fit in with the background so maybe the multiple shadow layers will help. All in all, the video and .psd will help me streamline my method in photoshop and pick up a few new skills. Thanks!
i loved your last one and i cant wait to rip apart this one XD
that is pretty awesome stock too!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
