Tired of those that say "photomanipulation is just cut & paste - anyone can do that"? I certainly am.
Every art form has beginners and advanced users - just like not ever photo is automatically a piece of art not every manip is either. Everyone has to start somewhere though and no one is going to learn anything from those that just dismiss something without ever having really tried. And if they have tried and their work is good, then why don't they just start giving advice instead of bashing those that want to learn?
We're a community, not a center for critics and cynicists!
Awesome stamp. When I first started making manips I only used to cut and paste, but then I started to do more with practice...I still have a lottt to learn even now though. When I get a subscription this will be the first stamp in my journal
This is just what i want! After i had someone note me a while back and tell me that my art sucked, and it wasn't art because it was manips! Thankyou! 's you forever!

I find the attitude puzzling most of the times: if it looks nice and makes one happy, what is wrong with doing it and trying to get better at it? Sounds like any art form to me, not just manips

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Discussing page views, activity and popularity, ~ChaoticSkye explores the inner workings of the community on deviantART from her point of view.
Although this does not apply to everyone, we hope the article is a worthwhile read and that the majority perceive things from a different point of view from reading this.
