Fantastic Stock and Where to find it - Feature 19I’ve been making a collection of some of the brilliant stock artists
works that I have come across. It started off as stock I can’t provide
myself so I look for other peoples so I can suggest them. The way I
choose is quite odd, when I see a stock image I have an instant image in
my head of what I could do or create out of that piece of stock. The
image also has to be crystal clear and easily altered.

Literature DD Roundup- December 2012Greetings everyone!
Today is New Years Eve, so before we share the roundup for December, on behalf of the Lit CVs, I wish you all a fantastic 2013!
It’s been a year of progression for the literature community, one I hope you will all join us on the continued journey for 2013. The community isn’t just 4 volunteers, it is ALL OF YOU, and I hope you share your ideas and get involved.
December has showcased some fantastic pieces of writing, and because of this we have actually snuck in a few bonus features. On Christmas day, we had 4 Literature DDs and from mid-December onwards we added some extra DDs over the weekend- something which we will now be doing every weekend!

(ps. Did anyone notice we’d snuck in some extra DDs lately?)

Manip Challenges #001If you've been on dA for a while, you may remember the manip challenges I used to run. The original manip challenges were chat based 2 hour challenges, but as I don't have that kind of time any more (the event would be all day long, with 3 to 5 challenges in succession), I decided to adapt them to be two weeks long and not in a chatroom instead.
UPDATE:
Wow! What a response! We're through the first week (still one to go!) of the challenge and already there are over 20 entries!

This week I happened across a Photographer who shoots the economy - currently in the UK. If you ever wondered what Economy looks like - and what the recession looks like - in the Photographic sense then wonder no more. Simon Robert's has it captured. What really struck me though, aside from the complete normality and sometimes mundane life that made the photographs, was the comments on the Article that I read about Simon. The BBC Wrote about him yesterday and nearly all the comments were from people advocating boredom. The Irony is that Simon Robert's had, in full colour, photographed our lives. And the general consensus was that it was dull and unimaginative. How very English we are.

Non-traditional Features!I do a feature of traditional art every week,

OKAY, almost every week! Just for fun, I thought I could do one without any traditional pieces in it, and this is it. So far I've gotten stuck in the Digital and Photography galleries. There's way to much great work in those galleries to even scratch the surface in the few hours that I've been able to browse through them. So here you go, some of my favorite work other than traditional. This might become a semi-regular feature, every 2-3 weeks or when ever I feel like it. Please enjoy!

I was highly frustrated with everything and ready for a holiday that everything seemed a chore. So I removed myself for a while, then I went on holidays and now I'm back in action, finally!

These features are my way of thanking you for using my stock - I'm afraid, I can't feature all, but I will feature my personal faves in each issue. It's also a way to showcase some fellow stockers, so don't forget to scroll down for some stock art gems as well!

I try hard to keep up with my message center, but mostly, I'm buried. So I try to answer any questions asked (sometimes it'll take me a while, please be patient!) and I look at and fave all artwork made with my stock. I also try to leave comments now and again, but mostly, I'll just fave and run - please don't take that personally! I rather put up some new stock than copy-pasta some generic thank you message, I think you'll be in favour of that.

I haven't done one of these in far too long - so this is going to be a massive feature!
