The Community Relations (CR for short) is headed up by the director of artist relations $Moonbeam13. They oversee all gallery moderators (gm) on deviantArt. You can recognize gms by the hat ^ they wear. The gm position is a voluntary one (i.e. it is not paid).

Gallery moderators are assigned to specific galleries to help promote them and the deviants submitting to them. Among other things they have the ability to give out Daily Deviations (DD - FAQ #61: What is a Daily Deviation? ) for which they take suggestions that you can send in via note to the respective director. Please only send your suggestion to ONE gm even though some galleries have more than one. A few gms (and some of the core staff, denoted by $) have the priviledge to give DDs for all galleries.

Also note that the Daily Deviations are chosen by the gms and the artists do not have a say in getting one (would spoil the surprise, wouldn't it?) and everyone who gets one deserves to enjoy their DD-day just like the next person. If you disagree with a selection, DO NOT comment on the DD and spoil the day! Note the gm who chose the DD instead with your concerns - and think about suggesting something yourself before bitching.
